Crossroads Collective is pleased to offer music lessons for children and adults. We also specialize in music therapy for those in need.
Our private instructors provide a supportive environment for children, youth and adults to enjoy improving their playing ability with a program that is tailored to each student’s goals.
For those seeking a different approach, a contemporary curriculum is also available. This includes the basics of reading music with the option to learn chording, ear training, and improvisation.
Private lessons are usually taken once per week for 30, 45, or 60 minutes. They are available for booking Monday through Saturday.
Students must have a keyboard or a piano at home to practice on.
We also have a high participation rate in our Year-End Recital. Although this is optional, it is a great opportunity for our students to showcase their skill and build their confidence.
At our Langley Counselling Centre, we offer music therapy in one-on-one private sessions as well as group sessions. We work with your family to determine what type of music therapy will work best for you and your loved ones. These programs are available to both children and adults.

Musical storytelling: Kids create sounds and sing along to musical stories such as Bear Hunt. We use percussion instruments to help tell the story.
Puppet plays using iMovie: Kids choose a story or write an original story and then create all the props and backdrops to film a story in iMovie. They narrate their own stories and have their puppets act out each part.
Picture books: Kids create their own picture books during the sessions. We sketch things out, make a storyboard and then start to assemble pages into my computer.
Creative Writing: Based on the interest of the child/teen, we cover the different types of writing.
Songwriting: Kids make up their own songs using Garageband and record their voices.
Music Parodies: Making videos of song parodies that they write and act out.
PSA’s: Kids write PSA’s about subjects they are passionate about.
Youtube: Kids set up their own Youtube Channels. (with parent’s permission and we film little videos and upload)

DBT acknowledges that there is a problem with the way clients think, but the therapist encourages clients to accept this and then helps them look at making changes so that their thinking is more balanced. It is a principle-driven therapy that includes interventions including wise mind and opposite action step by step. In our group, we will also work on building the skills of providing and accepting positive feedback from other group members and facilitators.

Learn to be attuned, responsive and engaged with your partner. We help couples understand love, emotions and needs. This allows partners to control negative dances and create a loving bond. We discuss the following throughout the 8 sessions:
In this course, we explore the root causes of your personal journey with anger. We learn about why we feel the way we do and our goals for positive change. This anger management group will provide healthy techniques to practice in your life outside the class.

This 5-week sex education course is designed to help young people gain the information, skills, and motivation to make healthy decisions about sex and sexuality throughout their lives. During the teen years, the hormonal and physical changes of puberty usually mean people start noticing an increase in sexual feelings. It’s common to wonder and sometimes worry about new sexual feelings. It takes time for many people to understand who they are and who they’re becoming. Part of that involves better understanding of their own sexual feelings and who they are attracted to.
This 10-week educational workshop helps people adjust to the ending of a love relationship. The sessions are for 3 hours, one night a week for 10 weeks. We’ll discuss the following topics:
The Rebuilding Blocks: The rebuilding blocks give you an overview of the adjustment process when experiencing the loss of a relationship.
Adaptation: You may have learned adaptive behaviour during your formative years in order to get your needs met. These adaptive behaviours may have become maladaptive in your adult relationships.
Grief: Grieving your various losses of love. There is a connection between overcoming denial, grieving and disentangling from a former love partner.
